Dearest Readers,
The Li’l Depressed Boy #13 will be on shelves in a few weeks. In it you’ll find the story of LDB and Spike’s first date, but before it arrives there is one thing we need to address.
When you look at the cover, you’ll notice that LDB 13 has a small price change.
This is not because of the excellent Cory Walker wraparound cover, or the preview of Sina’s Not My Bag within… It’s because making comics is hard.
You have all been amazing readers, followers, and friends. We appreciate all that you’ve shared with us. We have garnered so many fantastic experiences, letters, art, and plush dolls (!) over the past two years, but the sad truth is that we are not a runaway hit. In fact, we are still somewhat under the radar.
To keep the book alive, and to keep it’s place alongside big hits about zombies, cannibal detectives, and intergalactic love stories, we have to raise our price point to $3.99. A dollar for you is a game changer for us.
Understand that moving forward we are going to jam every page with as many rad goodies as possible — including back-up strips, pin-ups and the return of Little LDB. We will do our best to make it never feel like it was $3.99 poorly spent.
All our love, we can’t wait for you to read this new story arc!
